| BACKGROUND & HISTORY |
|
Marius was born on the planet of Magna Roma to Marcus Petra Cavuet & Hypatia Lea-Cavuet. As the oldest son of Patres et Conscripti (Senator) Marcus Petra Cavuet, Marius was always treated with respect and noble regard throught his youth. It was often suggested (Even at some level expected) that he would one day ascend the steps of the Senatus (Senate) and take his place among the nobels of society.
This was never an aspiration of the young and rebelious Marius; much to his fathers disappointment. At an early age he had taken a mass fascination and outright obsession with flying craft. When his free time permitted away from his education and forced sporting activities, the young Marius devoured his time with a distant uncle. Dux ducis(General) Romulus Fabius Vitellius, Marius' uncle, was the head of the Magna Roman Air Guard; a fighter squadron assigned to defend the local planetary system. Romulus would allow the young nephew to train in simulators and even fly shotgun at times with a patrol squadron. When the young man was of sufficient age he was allowed to begin flying the small craft himself on short, insignificant runs; but always supervised and never off world. When he became of age, his uncle sponsored him as an applicant into Starfleet Academy. His status as a prominent Magna Roman went fairly far in the acceptance of Marius to the ranks of the Academy.. That was where the assistance ended. From that point forward the young cadet was seemingly on his own. There was not much that challenged the bright lad, nothing except his extra-curricular course in botany. Of course his other elective, females, was one he excelled at. At graduation the newly pinned Ensign was assigned to the Luna Terra fighter defense squadron in the Sol system. Though it was seemingly uneventful at most times, Marius was in his element. Day in and day out flying in formation with his wing and learning how to maneuver in tight quarters. It was much like his time back home with his Uncle. The difference now being that he was in the pilots seat. After nearly two years with the squadron, the Ensign was re-assigned to a helm position onboard a Steamrunner class vessel. For two years he would be thrown from one small scout ship to another as a third and second watch helmsman. This period he begrudgingly endured, though he longed to be thrown back into the realm of the fighter seat. This he was granted when an old instructor of his from the academy was given the position of CAG onboard an Akira class carrier. Marius was offered the command of a secondary wing in the Inferno Squadron onboard the Carrier USS Dante. [The following record in Lt. Marius Cavuet’s personnel record has been wiped.] Marius Cavuet was reassigned to the Defiant class vessel Imperator as the Assistant Chief Helmsman. His service time spend onboard was fairly brief as he was quickly transferred to the USS Prospero on her re-launching with the fleet. |
| PERSONALITY PROFILE |
| Marius is a very outgoing, flirtatious, and witty person. He often makes remarks that are said before he thinks about it. This tends to get him into trouble, but never in serious reprimand. While he often BS's with anyone, he rarely gives out personal information of his own and is somewhat of a mystery. Some large secret seems to be hidden within him and at times he seems to know more than he should about events as they play out. |
